Summer Night Fever. 1978.

German comedy that takes its title from the famous film starring John Travolta, ‘Saturday Night Fever’ (1977).

Although ‘Summer Night Fever’ (distributed in Spain under the title ‘Fiebre de noche de verano) filmed some of the scenes in Saint Tropez, most of the footage was filmed in Ibiza during the months of June and July 1978 in locations such as San Rafael Club, the Marina Botafoch, Dalt Vila, the Marina, the Plaza de Toros and the beaches of Ses Salines and Cala Comte.

It was directed by Sigi Rothemund (who signs the work as Siggi Götz) and starred by French Stéphane Hillel and the famous German television actress Olivia Pascal.

‘Summer Night Fever’ was internationally distributed in countries like Italy, France, Denmark, Turkey and the former Yugoslavia, among others. The soundtrack was composed by popular songs disco music, from bands like La Bionda, Gerry Rafferty, Amanda Lear, DD Sound, Travel, Curtis Corporation, Bernie Paul and Mona Lisa. Austrian veteran composer Gerard Heinz was responsible for developing the other topics that are part of the soundtrack.
